“Five Sax At the Movies” is the title of the quintet’s debut CD and one of their most requested concert programs. The musicians explore the magical world of movie music with some of their favorite themes, which they arranged and recorded in the studio for their debut CD. They had so much fun making the CD, that they decided to make it into a workshop for children, and “Five Sax at the Movies!” was born. It’s a one hour program, highlighting some of the most famous movie soundtracks, such as Laurel and Hardy, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean and more. Through a professional and clever way of rearranging scores written by Academy Award winning composers, Five Sax sparks the audience’s imagination right from the start with diverse music from almost every possible style. These fantastic movie themes go hand in hand with the ensemble’s unique approach to present live music on stage, which results in a rollercoaster of energy, interaction, jokes and references to the magical world of the movies!
